Finance & Shared Services Trainee (12‑month programme)

About the role

The Finance & Shared Services Trainee will join the Mauritius Shared Services (MSS) team for a 12‑month programme. You will gain hands‑on experience supporting finance, operational and project activities in a dynamic shared‑services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support system implementations, data migration and process‑enhancement projects.
• Perform data entry, journal postings, bookkeeping and maintain accounting records.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end finance processes and basic bank/account reconciliations.
• Process financial data, update systems and ensure data quality.
• Help with onboarding documentation, record management and administrative coordination.
• Contribute to internal projects, operational improvements and shared‑services initiatives.
• Undertake ad‑hoc assignments to meet MSS delivery objectives.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or diploma holder in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• ACCA/ACA students are encouraged to apply.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑moving environment.
• Attention to detail, good organisational skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Basic Excel proficiency.
