Financial Accountant

About the role

SD Worx is seeking a Financial Accountant to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of its financial records. You will own the end‑to‑end record‑to‑report process, collaborate with global accounting teams, and support effective business decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the general ledger in SAP S/4 Hana, processing accounting transactions accurately.
• Prepare and post journal entries for payroll, revenue, intercompany, capex and adjustments.
• Review journal entries related to pre‑payments, accruals, and provisions.
• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities within group deadlines.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensure schedules align with the trial balance.
• Produce monthly management reports with variance analysis for accounting meetings.
• Handle quarterly reporting to head office and external stakeholders.
• Review and submit VAT returns and other statutory reports on time.
• Support interim and year‑end audit preparation, responding to auditor requests.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and corporate tax computations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local accounting standards and internal policies.
• Maintain strong internal controls and identify process‑improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with accounting colleagues across different countries.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 3.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and statutory compliance.
• Understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP S/4 Hana.
