Fund Services Accountant

About the role

As a Fund Services Accountant you will support directors, managers and administrators in delivering high‑quality accounting services to a portfolio of clients. You will prepare complex financial statements, manage VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant accounting frameworks while coaching junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, reconciliations and accounting records for multiple client structures.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing responsive support throughout engagements.
• Prepare and review VAT returns, bank and investment reconciliations, and other accounting schedules.
• Coach and support junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and providing feedback.
• Liaise with auditors and stakeholders to ensure timely audit completion.
• Maintain working papers and client records in line with Ocorian procedures.
• Assist with budgeting, risk identification and process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent accounting degree with 4‑6 years of experience in financial services, accounting or audit.
• Experience preparing client accounts, preferably with exposure to real‑estate or private‑equity structures.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for developing others.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.
• Experience with EFront and Value Financials (desirable).
• Proficiency in preparing VAT returns.
• Bank and investment reconciliation expertise.
• Real‑estate accounting knowledge.
