Group Head of Finance

About the role

Sunlife is seeking a Group Head of Finance to lead finance operations for Sun Limited and its subsidiaries, reporting to the CFO, and to oversee financial reporting for Riveo Limited. This senior leadership position will deputise for the CFO as required and ensure robust financial governance across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Group’s finance strategy, provide advice to senior leadership, ensure compliance and prepare Board presentations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, Group consolidation, inter‑company reconciliations and audited statements in line with IFRS and USALI.
• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, performance analysis and financial modelling to support strategic initiatives.
• Manage business unit accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations, project accounting, capital expenditure and fixed‑asset tracking.
• Maintain finance policies, internal controls, tax compliance and coordinate external and internal audits.
• Direct liquidity management, cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital optimisation and debt servicing.
• Drive finance transformation through process standardisation, automation and AI adoption in partnership with IT.
• Lead, develop and coach finance teams while partnering with business unit General Managers to improve performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in hospitality or a multi‑entity organisation.
• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
• Proven expertise in group consolidation, Board reporting, IFRS and USALI standards.
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical ability and clear communication with senior stakeholders.
• Collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development, integrity and accountability.
