Guest Relation Officer

About the role

The Guest Relation Officer is the first point of contact for guests at Constance Le Chaland, a luxury hotel on the south‑eastern coast of Mauritius. The role ensures a seamless experience from reservation through arrival, stay, and departure, while maintaining accurate guest records and responding promptly to guest requests.

Key responsibilities

• Organise guest reservations, arrivals, in‑house stays, requests and departures.
• Monitor and update guest history files, registration cards and comment cards.
• Compile, analyse and distribute monthly guest comment reports to management.
• Prepare and send compliment letters and manage mailing lists as required.
• Record special events (birthdays, weddings, anniversaries) in a diary and inform relevant departments.
• Participate in wedding and honeymoon reservations, ensuring room assignments are confirmed two days in advance.
• Coordinate weekly management cocktail invitations and maintain the hotel’s golden book for high‑profile guests.
• Assist with hotel visits, educational tours and inter‑departmental coordination.
• Maintain compliance with fire, health and safety regulations and report equipment defects.

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education completed.
• Additional training or certificates in a relevant hospitality field.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with housekeeping, front desk, villas and other departments.
