Head of Industrial Engineering and Continuous Improvement

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to head the Industrial Engineering and Continuous Improvement function for our integrated textile and apparel manufacturing operations in Mauritius and Madagascar. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will drive operational excellence, productivity, Lean transformation and overall manufacturing performance across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Group Industrial Engineering and Continuous Improvement strategy and multi‑year roadmap.
• Lead the deployment of Lean Manufacturing methodologies across fabric and garment operations.
• Champion Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management and problem‑solving initiatives.
• Establish governance structures to monitor Continuous Improvement projects and benefits realization.
• Oversee time studies, work measurement, capacity planning, line balancing and workforce optimization.
• Lead factory layout optimisation, material flow improvement and support automation and digital transformation projects.
• Act as a key advisor to senior management on operational performance and transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading industrial engineering and continuous improvement functions in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong track record of driving Lean transformation and delivering measurable productivity gains.
• Leadership experience managing teams of engineers and improvement specialists.
• Ability to partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and HR to achieve sustainable results.
