Head of Laundry

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and organised Head of Laundry to lead all laundry operations at our luxury resort. You will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, quality and efficiency while supporting the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, pressing and folding of linens and guest garments.
• Lead, supervise and motivate the laundry team, providing direction, performance feedback and development opportunities.
• Establish and maintain rigorous quality‑control standards to ensure items meet exacting specifications.
• Manage inventory of linens, chemicals and supplies, ensuring adequate stock while minimising waste.
• Maintain and monitor industrial laundry equipment, coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Develop efficient scheduling systems to meet operational demand and guest requirements.
• Monitor departmental budgets and identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Liaise with other hotel departments to understand specific laundry requirements and resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing laundry operations in a hospitality or large‑scale commercial environment.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to supervise and motivate teams effectively.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to laundry operations.
• Excellent organisational and time‑keeping skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
