Head Waiter / Head Waitress – La Terrasse

About the role

Provide a high standard of service with friendly, attentive and anticipating manners. Be knowledgeable about the restaurant’s food and beverage menus, as well as the hotel’s products and facilities, and give appropriate recommendations to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Arrive for duty according to the schedule and attend daily briefings with the Assistant and Restaurant Manager.
• Prepare the restaurant for service before 18:30 each day.
• Greet guests with eye contact, a smile, and use their name when known.
• Present and explain the menu, taking orders with suggestive selling.
• Serve food and beverages following restaurant standards, sequences and procedures.
• Maintain perfect grooming and adhere to safety and hygiene procedures.
• Handle billing, printing checks and ensuring accurate presentation of the bill.
• Keep the assigned section clean, tidy, and stocked, including linen collection and equipment polishing.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service or a related field.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel, resort or upscale restaurant; luxury hospitality experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team, assist colleagues, and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
