About the role

Constance Le Chaland, a luxury hotel on Mauritius' south‑eastern coast, is seeking a Head Waiter/Head Waitress to lead its dining team. You will ensure seamless service, uphold high hospitality standards, and create memorable experiences for guests in a stunning ocean‑front setting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate waitstaff, allocate tables and service sections, and monitor performance.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching, training, and briefings to junior staff.
• Welcome guests, escort them to tables, and deliver professional, friendly service.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly.
• Take orders accurately, ensure timely delivery, and maintain correct table setup.
• Liaise with kitchen and bar, manage service flow, and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain stock of menus, napkins, condiments, and service equipment.
• Verify bills, process payments, and assist with cash reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate; hospitality diploma is a plus.
• 2–3 years experience in restaurant or hotel food‑and‑beverage service.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
