Hotel Electrician

About the role

Constance Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Electrician to join the engineering team at its luxury property in Plaine Magnien, Mauritius. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing all electrical equipment across the hotel, ensuring uninterrupted service for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Minimise electrical equipment breakdowns through preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain air‑conditioning, ventilation, sanitary and water‑treatment systems.
• Service electrical installations for boilers, hot‑water generators, swimming‑pool equipment, kitchen and laundry appliances, fire‑fighting systems and general building services.
• Maintain lighting throughout guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house, elevators and car parks.
• Inspect and tighten bolts, screws, nuts and belts on all machinery.
• Respond to fire alarms and other emergencies promptly.
• Report any malfunction to the supervisor and take corrective action.
• Coordinate with engineering, tradesmen and office staff.

Required profile

• Secondary education or equivalent, with additional technical training or certificates preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical maintenance experience in a hotel or luxury resort environment.
• Ability to work independently and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team.
