HR Specialist – Remote (Mauritius)

About the role

Flowz Staffing is looking for an experienced Human Resources Specialist to lead the full employee lifecycle for its remote workforce. The role is fully remote, supporting teams across North America while ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Source, screen, interview, and hire top talent using multiple recruiting platforms.
• Maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS), talent pipelines, and coordinate interview schedules.
• Prepare offers, onboarding documentation, and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, payroll regulations, leave policies, anti‑discrimination statutes, privacy rules, and health & safety requirements.
• Maintain HR policies, employee records, and support disciplinary or termination processes.
• Process accurate and timely payroll while safeguarding confidentiality.
• Address employee concerns, support managers, resolve workplace issues, and conduct investigations when needed.
• Coordinate performance reviews, probation evaluations, employee development plans, and HR reporting.
• Maintain HRIS records, personnel files, compliance documentation, and organizational charts.
• Promote employee engagement through recognition programs, team‑building activities, wellness initiatives, and company events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience with a strong background in recruitment, payroll administration, employee relations, and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
• High integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, emotional intelligence and sound judgment.
