Installation & Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Installation & Maintenance Technician will ensure the reliable operation of digital signage solutions across Mauritius. You will install new equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and provide on‑site and remote technical support to keep displays running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all deployed signage hardware.
• Conduct quarterly site visits, inspect equipment, and keep detailed service records.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues on displays, media players, networking gear and peripherals.
• Apply software, firmware and CMS updates; configure system settings.
• Install digital screens, brackets, media players, networking devices and perform cable routing, wall mounting and drilling according to standards.
• Test content playback, configure CMS, and provide basic user training after installation.
• Prepare weekly reports, document technical issues and maintain inventory of spare parts.
• Represent the company professionally, maintain customer relationships and respond promptly to service calls.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in Electronics, IT Installation, Networking or a related field.
• Experience with digital signage, audiovisual systems, IT support, CCTV or networking installations is an advantage.
• Organised, able to manage maintenance schedules and work independently.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Mauritius.
• Physically fit to lift equipment and perform installations.

Required skills

• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers, Wi‑Fi).
• Familiarity with Windows and Android operating systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to install TV brackets, screens and related hardware.
• Basic understanding of content management systems (CMS).
