IoT Engineer – Design, Deploy & Support Smart Solutions

About the role

As an IoT Engineer at NAVEO you will work across the full IoT solution lifecycle, from gathering requirements and selecting devices to engineering design, field deployment, testing, commissioning and ongoing support. The role blends hands‑on electrical engineering, sensor integration, connectivity, and real‑time data handling.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype and implement IoT/IIoT solutions based on customer needs.
• Configure and integrate sensors, controllers, gateways and communication devices.
• Create electrical and control panel schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Select appropriate components, power supplies, protection devices and communication equipment.
• Install, calibrate, test and troubleshoot IoT devices and field equipment.
• Integrate devices with NAVEO platforms, cloud or on‑premises systems and third‑party applications.
• Support connectivity using Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, 4G/5G, NB‑IoT, LTE‑M, LoRaWAN and Bluetooth.
• Conduct site surveys, supervise onsite installation, cabling and commissioning works.
• Diagnose hardware, electrical, network and communication issues and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on engineering experience with electrical systems, sensors and connectivity.
• Proficiency in designing electrical panels, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Ability to supervise contractors, technicians and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Experience conducting site surveys and coordinating field installations.

Required skills

• MQTT, Modbus, HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, TCP/IP protocols.
• Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, 4G/5G, NB‑IoT, LTE‑M, LoRaWAN, Bluetooth connectivity.
• Electrical panel design, wiring diagrams, technical drawing preparation.
• Sensors, controllers, gateways, and power supply selection.
• Device calibration, testing, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Integration with cloud/on‑premises platforms and third‑party applications.
