About the role
SGS & Co is seeking an IT Support Technician to join its onsite IT function at the Vacoas‑Phoenix site in Mauritius. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with a can‑do attitude to start their IT career and work in a fast‑paced, creative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in resolving internal customer IT issues.
- Deploy, move, migrate and retire computer systems while minimizing business impact and maximizing efficiency.
- Maintain, modify and support existing applications.
- Carry out maintenance of production‑related equipment.
- Seek opportunities to automate processes and reduce repetitive work.
- Ensure equipment, software and hardware comply with SGS directives.
- Continuously work to improve technology solutions.
Required profile
- Helpdesk support experience or a strong interest in computing/technology with a desire to develop an IT career.
- Attention to detail and an efficient working style.
- Ability to stay well‑organized and be a positive, proactive team player.
- Professional and effective communication skills.
