About the role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to support our finance team in financial accounting, reporting, tax compliance and related tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and related reports.
- Record and process financial transactions accurately and timely.
- Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports such as APS, VAT and TDS.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, monitor debtor and creditor accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile inter‑company balances and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
- Respond to audit requests, liaise with banks and handle routine client queries.
Required profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- ACCA Level 2 and/or 3 or equivalent qualification (advantage).
- Previous accounting or internship experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax regulations.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software.
