Junior Client Accountant

About the role

The Junior Client Accountant will support the client accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records for trust and client accounts. This entry‑level position offers a solid foundation in accounting, tax compliance, and trust asset performance while providing exposure to a professional services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records for trust clients.
• Support client accountants with account management and timely payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial records.
• Prepare basic tax returns and financial reports for resident trusts under supervision.
• Help review trust asset performance and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Communicate with clients under guidance and respond to routine inquiries.
• Collaborate with audit and other internal teams.
• Stay updated on basic changes in tax laws and file relevant returns with the MRA under supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience (internships or entry‑level roles accepted).
• Entry‑level professional certification (e.g., ACCA Level 1) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with accounting software.
