Junior Travel Consultant

About the role

Ticketbox.mu is seeking a motivated Junior Travel Consultant to join its growing travel team. The role focuses on flight bookings, travel planning and customer support for both individual and corporate clients, ensuring seamless journeys through the Ticketbox Travel platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international flight enquiries, search availability, compare fares and create PNRs using Galileo GDS and other booking tools.
• Prepare complete travel itineraries—including flights, hotels, transfers and tours—tailored to client budgets and preferences.
• Process ticketing, itinerary changes, cancellations, refunds and special requests while keeping customers informed of airline schedule updates.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities for hotels, transfers, insurance and add‑ons, contributing to sales targets.
• Support corporate clients with Ticketbox.mu’s online booking platform and handle urgent, last‑minute travel requests.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in a travel agency or similar environment.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Galileo GDS, including fare rules and ticketing procedures.
• Good understanding of airline fares, ticketing conditions and general visa requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
