About the role

Join the culinary team at Constance Sakoa Boutik, a boutique beachfront hotel in Mauritius. As a Kitchen Commis you will support experienced chefs in preparing high‑quality dishes while upholding strict food safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organised workstation, following food safety, hygiene regulations and allergen protocols.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during service.
• Monitor food storage, manage inventory and ensure proper rotation and storage of ingredients.
• Collaborate with team members to sustain workflow and overall kitchen efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum NC 3 in Food Production or a comparable qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on quality.
• Team player who works well in a collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Food safety and hygiene compliance.
• Kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
• Inventory management and stock rotation.
• Allergen protocol awareness.
