Laundry Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Laundry Supervisor to lead our laundry operations at a luxury resort on the northeast coast of Mauritius. The successful candidate will ensure impeccable linen quality, efficient processes, and exceptional guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all laundry activities, including washing, drying, pressing, folding, and delivery of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation through rigorous quality control.
• Manage and train the laundry team, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain inventory of linen, guest laundry, and cleaning supplies; coordinate ordering and stock rotation.
• Monitor laundry equipment performance, report faults promptly, and oversee maintenance.
• Implement cost‑control measures to reduce waste, optimise productivity, and manage utility consumption.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office teams to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and environmental standards.
• Support management in recruitment, performance appraisal, and staff development.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the laundry department of a 5‑star luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong technical knowledge of laundry operations, textile care, and equipment handling.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse team.
• Proficiency in English and/or French; additional languages are a plus.
