Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer will ensure accurate and timely execution of daily logistics activities for UPL in Mauritius. This includes coordinating shipments, handling logistics documentation, processing SAP transactions, supporting inventory control, and tracking deliveries. The role works closely with internal teams and external partners to keep goods moving efficiently and in compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and process shipping, dispatch and logistics documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance before release.
• Execute SAP goods receipt (GR) and goods issue (GI) transactions, record physical movements, and resolve system errors or exceptions.
• Support inventory monitoring, periodic stock counts and reconciliation, identifying discrepancies and assisting corrective actions.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, transporters and warehouses to track shipments, provide status updates and ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain audit‑ready electronic and physical logistics records, adhering to SOPs, approval requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Generate routine logistics reports and trackers, and contribute to continuous‑process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing or a similar operational environment.
• Strong attention to detail, clear communication, good planning and time‑management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively and maintain professional integrity.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP (goods receipt and goods issue transactions).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
