Maintenance Manager

About the role

MEDINE GROUP is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join its Tamarina Golf & Spa Boutique Hotel. The role ensures the seamless and efficient operation of the hotel through oversight of all maintenance and facility management, with a proactive preventive maintenance programme focused on sustainability and energy efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential maintenance issues and implement preventive measures, and run a proactive maintenance programme to minimise downtime.
• Lead and manage special maintenance and renovation projects from planning and budgeting to execution, on time and within budget.
• Reduce energy and water consumption through energy-saving technologies and resource management.
• Ensure compliance with local and national environmental, health and safety laws, HACCP standards for food safety, and regular inspection of fire safety equipment.
• Recruit, train and supervise maintenance staff, develop training programmes and track key performance metrics.
• Oversee facility management, keep PPE available, maintain equipment and asset inventories, and develop emergency response plans.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and gather feedback from guests and staff.
• Prepare CAPEX proposals, oversee procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment, and keep projects within budget.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years' experience in a maintenance management role.
• Experience managing projects from conception to completion, meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Familiarity with health, safety and environmental regulations, including HACCP and fire safety standards.

• Building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance knowledge.
• Budget management and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong organisational and time management skills.
