Manager, Business Performance & Analysis

About the role

The Manager, Business Performance & Analysis will gather fragmented institutional data, turn it into actionable insight, and present it to decision‑makers across the university. The role goes beyond producing analysis; it defines what the analysis means, clarifies decision‑support questions, and ensures findings are delivered in a usable format.

Key responsibilities

• Produce quantitative and economic analysis for the Executive Committee and Board, including scenario work, unit economics, capacity and cost modelling, and baseline comparisons.
• Integrate inconsistent inputs from multiple functions into a single defensible view, clearly naming any remaining uncertainties.
• Clarify the underlying decision‑support question when a request does not lead to a useful answer, and propose a more relevant analytical question.
• Maintain an external evidence base that includes comparator institutions, sector benchmarks, published research, and relevant precedents.
• State assumptions explicitly, highlight what analysis does not establish, and publish data gaps when required data are missing.
• Review recurring analyses, identify material gaps or inconsistencies, and raise findings for further investigation.

Required profile

• Ability to synthesize fragmented, inconsistent, and incomplete data into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong judgment in interpreting quantitative results and communicating their implications.
• Experience presenting complex analysis to senior university leadership.
