Manager - Landscape Design

About the role

The Manager – Landscape Design leads the landscape design function for the Balaclava Golf & Equestrian Estate and, when required, for other projects within the Novaterra portfolio. The role provides technical leadership from concept through to hand‑over and long‑term maintenance planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop landscape concepts, masterplans, planting schemes and outdoor design proposals for property developments.
• Ensure designs integrate with architecture, infrastructure, water efficiency and user experience.
• Recommend plant species, turf, hardscape materials, irrigation systems, lighting, pathways, signage and outdoor furniture.
• Manage projects from concept to execution, coordinating with architects, engineers, golf and equestrian consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Review drawings, specifications and material submissions; conduct site visits to monitor quality and compliance.
• Deliver landscaping works within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Identify design risks and propose corrective actions; work with maintenance teams to ensure durability and ease of upkeep.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading landscape design projects for large‑scale estates or developments.
• Strong understanding of sustainable landscaping, water‑efficient solutions and lifecycle asset management.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and communicate design intent to stakeholders.
