Network & Systems Engineer

About the role

Sezwan Technologies builds EasyPay, a payroll and HR system used by hundreds of businesses in Mauritius. We are looking for a Network & Systems Engineer to manage our office network, servers, databases and client clocking devices, ensuring everything runs smoothly, especially during month‑end payroll runs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot network and server infrastructure.
• Keep systems available, secure and fast.
• Run backups, plan disaster recovery and test recovery procedures.
• Plan and execute system upgrades.
• Support hardware, software and network issues for the team, both on‑site and remotely.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience as a network or systems engineer or similar role.
• Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, servers and operating systems.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one firewall.
• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Good grasp of cybersecurity best practices.

Required skills

• Experience with Proxmox or another virtualization platform.
• Experience running PostgreSQL, SQL Server or other databases.
• Experience with Azure or another cloud provider.
• Experience configuring managed switches.
• Experience with phone systems (PABX).
• Experience with biometric or access‑control devices.
