Pastry Chef de Partie – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Pastry Chef de Partie will supervise and coordinate the pastry team at Four Seasons' luxury resort in Mauritius, ensuring high‑quality pastry production and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily pastry preparation processes, maintaining consistency in taste, temperature, presentation and portion control.
• Act as shift leader, motivate colleagues, and promote teamwork while adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
• Develop recipe cards, daily specials and assist in menu planning.
• Manage inventory, receive raw products, and ensure quality, quantity and pricing meet hotel specifications.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and ensure all mise‑en‑place and workstations are ready before service.

Required profile

• Technical education in Hospitality or Culinary school.
• Minimum 5 years of kitchen experience in a 5‑star hotel/resort at a supervisory level.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Strong supervisory and technical kitchen skills with aptitude for upward mobility.
