Payment Acquiring Analyst – Portfolio Management

About the role

The Payment Acquiring Analyst will support the Team Leader in expanding the existing merchant portfolio. You will drive growth by meeting budget targets, uncovering new business opportunities, and delivering high‑quality service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop opportunities within the merchant portfolio, promoting relevant payment solutions and services.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with merchants and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to sales, revenue and profitability targets through effective account management and commercial planning.
• Support merchant onboarding, application processing and account set‑up to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Maintain accurate sales records, monitor merchant performance and provide regular progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with onboarding, KYC, AML, regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Banking, Sales, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in merchant acquiring, business development or a similar commercial role.
• Background in banking or fintech is an advantage.
• Valid driving licence where required.
• Proactive approach to business development and relationship management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of payment and lending products and adherence to KYC/AML standards.
