Plant Operator

About the role

Drymix Ltd, part of the UBP Group, seeks a dynamic and safety‑focused Plant Operator to join its Production Team. Reporting to the Production Lead, you will ensure smooth plant operations, maintain product quality, and uphold HSEQ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and control production and packing equipment to achieve continuous, safe, and efficient plant performance.
• Execute production schedules, meet targets, and minimise downtime while managing raw material and packaging availability.
• Prepare lines, perform product changeovers, and maintain optimal efficiency in line with quality standards.
• Complete production reports, consumption records and operational documentation accurately and on time.
• Monitor equipment performance, conduct routine inspections and report any abnormalities promptly.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to resolve issues and improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and organisation throughout the plant.
• Adhere to all HSEQ requirements, including proper PPE use and safe work practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives to boost productivity and product quality.

Required profile

• BT in Production, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; construction materials experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work on a shift system and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised, reliable, detail‑oriented, proactive and results‑driven.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Basic electrical principles.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
