Project Assistant – Procurement & Inventory

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Project Assistant to support the procurement and inventory functions of a leading General Insurance Group. The role involves coordinating tender processes, managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare bid documentation and coordinate tender and evaluation processes.
• Issue purchase orders and related contractual agreements.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Track deliveries to verify compliance with specifications and contract terms.
• Maintain inventory records, safeguard items in stores, and conduct periodic reconciliations.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Prepare procurement, inventory, and tender reports for management.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory or stores management.
• Strong organisational, analytical and administrative abilities with attention to detail.
• Good communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Familiarity with Oracle procurement system or equivalent.
