QA Engineer - Automation and Manual Testing (ERP Workflows)

About the role

This is a Quality Assurance position focused on automation and manual testing of enterprise applications, especially ERP workflows. The role reports to the ERP Architect / Tech Lead and works closely with developers, the Product Manager and the Business Analyst.

Key responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, technical architecture and ERP workflows.
• Create test strategies and plans covering functional, integration and regression testing.
• Identify high-risk areas such as compliance deadlines, approvals and workflow dependencies.
• Perform functional testing of ERP modules and end-to-end workflow testing, including multi-role scenarios (admin, compliance officer, accountant).
• Run exploratory testing for edge cases and ensure accuracy of financial and legal data flows.
• Design and build automated test scripts for UI and APIs, and create scalable automation frameworks.
• Automate regression suites and critical workflows such as compliance filings, approvals and calculations.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and validate REST / GraphQL APIs, including data validation between database and API responses.
• Test integration points with third-party APIs and government portals, and multi-step approval workflows, RBAC and document lifecycles.
• Check escalation and notification flows, run basic performance tests and help identify workflow bottlenecks.
• Log reproducible bugs, collaborate with developers and prioritise defects by business impact.
• Take part in sprint planning, daily standups and sprint demos, and use Gen AI as a productivity multiplier.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering.
• 5-7 years of QA experience, including manual and automation testing.
• Experience with enterprise applications, ERP and SaaS platforms, and strong experience with workflow-based systems.
• Preferred: framework design experience.

Required skills

• Automation: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress; API testing with Postman, Rest Assured, Insomnia.
• Languages: Java, JavaScript, Python.
• SQL validation and data integrity checks.
• JIRA, Git, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
