QA Engineer

About the role

SD Worx is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to ensure the quality, performance and reliability of a flagship payroll and HR solution that has recently merged with a complementary platform. You will work closely with developers, functional analysts and product owners in an Agile environment to deliver high‑quality software that meets both user expectations and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry‑standard frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate functional requirements into comprehensive test cases.
• Execute manual and automated tests, identify, document and track defects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools and test infrastructure.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of assigned software functionalities and ensure alignment with product priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar software testing role.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with payroll or HR systems is a plus.

Required skills

• Test automation frameworks: Selenium, Ranorex, Playwright.
• CI/CD pipelines and version control: Git, Azure DevOps.
• API testing tools: Postman.
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
• SQL and IBM DB2 database knowledge (optional).
• Programming/scripting languages: C#, Java (optional).
• BDD practices such as Reqnoll (optional).
• Performance and security testing awareness (optional).
