Relationship Manager (Cross Border & Financial Institutions)

About the role

The Relationship Manager will lead the development and management of a portfolio of financial institutions, including banks, DFIs, multilateral bodies and cross‑border clients. You will be responsible for sourcing new opportunities across trade finance, syndicated lending, transaction banking and financial markets while ensuring a high level of client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of local, regional and international financial institutions.
• Identify and originate cross‑border business opportunities in trade finance, syndicated lending, transaction banking and financial markets.
• Negotiate credit facilities, reciprocal business arrangements and commercial terms with banking partners.
• Conduct credit and country‑risk assessments, prepare credit proposals and monitor portfolio performance.
• Ensure compliance with credit risk, AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions and correspondent banking due‑diligence requirements.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Trade Finance, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Credit teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of banking experience, with at least 3 years in financial institutions, corporate banking or international banking.
• Professional qualifications such as ACIB, CFA, FRM, ACCA or MBA are a plus.
• Strong business development, negotiation, analytical and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive, results‑oriented team player with high commercial acumen and integrity.
