Remote Chartered Accountant (SA) / CIMA – Full‑time

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) or CIMA professional to join aXia’s fully virtual team. Working remotely, you will deliver end‑to‑end accounting and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients, helping them achieve their long‑term financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Manage general ledger entries, monthly reconciliations and closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with corporate tax, VAT and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Interpret financial data to provide strategic insights and support client decision‑making.
• Collaborate with internal consultants and external advisors to maintain high‑quality client communication.
• Identify opportunities to optimise financial processes and contribute to continuous improvement of virtual accounting practices.

Required profile

• Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (SA) or CIMA, with current registration or eligibility.
• Strong technical accounting and finance knowledge, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Experience in taxation, corporate tax and VAT compliance.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Client‑service orientation with the capacity to build trust and understand business objectives.
• Prior experience in a consulting, practice or multi‑client setting is advantageous.
