Room Technician – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Room Technician ensures guest rooms are safe, functional and impeccably maintained in a luxury resort setting. Working closely with the engineering team, you will respond quickly to guest requests, perform preventive maintenance and uphold the high standards of a five‑star hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Address guest safety concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to the hotel’s schedule.
• Maintain, organize and return all tools and equipment after each shift.
• Perform plumbing work such as plunging toilets and unclogging drains.
• Repair hardware, electrical fixtures, lighting fittings, sockets and air‑conditioning systems in guest rooms.
• Test, troubleshoot and carry out basic repairs on all room equipment.
• Follow written and oral work instructions and clean work areas after tasks.
• Adhere to safety procedures and communicate continuously with the Shift Leader.
• Participate in energy‑conservation and sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education; additional technical training or certificates are a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in hotel engineering or a similar hospitality environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, unpredictable setting.
• Fluent written and spoken English (additional languages are a benefit).

Required skills

• Plumbing and drain‑unclogging techniques.
• Electrical equipment repair, including lighting and socket maintenance.
• Air‑conditioning system troubleshooting and maintenance.
• General hardware repair and basic equipment testing.
