Security Engineer

About the role

As a Security Engineer at SD Worx, you will protect the company’s IT landscape across more than 26 countries. You will design, implement and continuously improve security controls for infrastructure, cloud and workplace environments, ensuring they stay ahead of emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Lead advanced security reviews, threat analysis and risk assessments across all platforms.
• Design and enhance security monitoring, detection and response capabilities, reporting metrics to senior stakeholders.
• Improve security infrastructure and configurations, including IAM, system hardening, SIEM, IDS/IPS/XDR, and apply CIS benchmarks.
• Oversee vulnerability management, patching and secure‑configuration processes, prioritising remediation based on business impact.
• Conduct complex incident response and forensic investigations, capture lessons learned and embed improvements.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in security engineering and operations.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate security trends into actionable improvements.
• Experience influencing cross‑functional security processes and advising stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous learning and process optimisation.
