About the role
We are seeking a Semi Senior Auditor to join our accounting team in Mauritius. The role involves preparing financial statements, tax returns and supporting audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare accounts, financial statements and tax returns for assigned clients.
- Respond to client queries on accounting, income tax, PAYE, VAT and other technical matters.
- Assist in audit engagements and compile necessary audit information.
- Manage the department’s work plan to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Supervise junior staff and ensure compliance with accounting, audit and statutory regulations.
- Provide regular progress updates to supervisors, managers and partners.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by senior team members.
Required profile
- University degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 2 (or equivalent).
- At least 4 years of experience in accounting and account preparation.
- Experience in auditing is an advantage.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
