Senior Accountant

About the role

LexCorp Services Ltd, a growing Mauritius‑based accounting and advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, produce reliable financial reports and help strengthen accounting processes and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting for domestic companies and global business entities, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date records.
• Review supporting documents such as bank statements, invoices and contracts, and record transactions correctly.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank balances, receivables, payables, fixed assets, inventory and inter‑company balances.
• Prepare and review corporate tax, VAT, TDS and APS returns, ensuring timely filing and payment.
• Process payroll and related statutory returns where required.

Required profile

• At least five years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an accounting firm.
• Practical experience with domestic companies, management accounts, VAT, payroll and corporate tax compliance.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; ACCA qualified or at an advanced stage, or equivalent professional qualification.

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software such as Odoo, QuickBooks or Sage; familiarity with cloud‑based systems is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication in English and French.
