Senior Client Accountant

About the role

The Apex Group, a global fund administration and middle‑office solutions provider, is seeking a Senior Client Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients and ensure high‑quality, on‑time delivery of financial reporting. You will work closely with the management team and specialised services teams to meet accounting and regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of NAVs, management reporting and statutory reporting for client structures, adhering to SLAs and policies.
• Review bookkeeping, monthly/quarterly/annual NAVs, management accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Coordinate with specialised services teams and client offices to ensure efficient, compliant operations.
• Prepare and present KPI dashboards, reports and risk‑issue escalations to senior management.
• Develop and implement entity‑specific reporting procedures and support new process implementations.
• Identify automation opportunities, drive process improvements and deliver training on financial reporting matters.
• Participate in client meetings, new‑business pitches and proposal development.

Required profile

• Professional qualification – CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
• 6‑7 years of post‑qualification experience in finance and accounting, preferably within fund administration.
• Strong technical expertise in drafting and reviewing management accounts and financial statements under Lux GAAP, IFRS and other GAAPs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with high managerial and leadership skills.

Required skills

• Lux GAAP and IFRS knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and data‑analysis capabilities.
• Proficiency with accounting software, databases and IT platforms.
• Experience creating KPI dashboards and financial reporting tools.
