Senior Compliance Executive

About the role

The Apex Group is seeking a Senior Compliance Executive to act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Compliance Officer (CO) for client entities under its administration. This senior position will ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and support the delivery of robust AML/CFT frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as MLRO/DMLRO/CO for client entities, overseeing compliance monitoring programs and reporting to Boards.
• Conduct risk‑based testing, file reviews and customer due‑diligence assessments.
• Design, review and update compliance reporting formats and KPI dashboards.
• Lead onboarding, ongoing screening and transaction monitoring activities.
• Assist in drafting, implementing and delivering AML/CFT policies, procedures and training.
• Monitor regulatory developments and propose implementation plans.
• Liaise with local authorities such as FSC and FIU, maintaining strong relationships.
• Support operations with risk assessments, AML/CFT queries and guidance.
• Complete ad‑hoc assignments within agreed timelines.

Required profile

• University degree or professional qualification in finance, law or a related field.
• 3‑5+ years of relevant compliance experience, preferably in a global financial services environment.
• Demonstrated competency to act as MLRO under the Financial Services Commission.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and ability to design compliance monitoring plans.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
