Senior Database Administrator (Oracle & SQL Server)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to manage and optimise enterprise‑level Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments for our clients. The role combines hands‑on technical work with client interaction, ensuring database stability, performance and security across multiple accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases, handling installation, configuration, patching, upgrades and migrations.
• Monitor performance, tune SQL queries, resolve bottlenecks and improve configurations.
• Develop and execute backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery strategies, including Data Guard, RMAN and Always On Availability Groups.
• Implement security controls such as access management, encryption and auditing.
• Collaborate with development teams on schema design, data migrations and application integration.
• Conduct capacity planning and resource utilisation forecasting.
• Mentor junior DBAs and share knowledge across teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent French speaker (native level).
• Extensive hands‑on DBA experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Oracle (Data Guard, RMAN, RAC, ASM)
• Microsoft SQL Server (Always On Availability Groups, replication, Query Store)
• SQL scripting and PowerShell
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud) – a plus
• Monitoring tools (OEM, SQL Server Monitoring)
• Automation / Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Relevant certifications (OCP, Microsoft certifications) preferred
