Senior Database Administrator (Oracle & SQL Server)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to manage and optimise enterprise‑level Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments for our clients. The role combines technical depth with client‑facing responsibilities in a fast‑paced, service‑driven setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases ensuring stability, scalability and security.
• Perform advanced DBA tasks such as installation, configuration, patching, upgrades and migrations.
• Monitor performance, tune SQL queries, resolve bottlenecks and improve configurations.
• Troubleshoot complex issues including performance degradation, connectivity problems and data corruption.
• Implement security controls, encryption, access management and auditing.
• Plan and execute backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery strategies to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with development teams on schema design, data migrations and application integration.
• Conduct capacity planning and proactively manage resource utilisation.
• Mentor junior DBAs and share knowledge across teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent French speaker (native level).
• Extensive hands‑on DBA experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Oracle (Data Guard, RMAN, RAC, ASM)
• Microsoft SQL Server (Always On Availability Groups, replication, Query Store)
• SQL scripting and PowerShell (or similar) automation
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud) – a plus
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (OEM, SQL Server Monitoring)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks
• Exposure to MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB – optional
• Relevant certifications (OCP, Microsoft certifications) preferred
