Senior Fund Accountant (Private Equity)

About the role

The Senior Fund Accountant will own a diverse portfolio of clients across Capital Markets, Real Estate and Private Equity structures, delivering high‑quality accounting and financial reporting services. You will work closely with clients, auditors and colleagues in multiple jurisdictions, supporting junior team members and driving service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a client portfolio, building strong relationships and delivering high‑standard accounting services.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and other accounting deliverables in line with IFRS, US GAAP and other relevant standards.
• Perform reconciliations, VAT returns and other client accounting activities for complex fund structures.
• Partner with clients, auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of reporting requirements.
• Support audit processes, budgeting, client reporting and various accounting projects.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) or relevant experience.
• Experience in financial services, accounting or audit, preferably with exposure to Capital Markets, Real Estate or Private Equity.
• Proven ability to build strong client and auditor relationships.
• Experience coaching or developing junior colleagues.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP; exposure to UK GAAP is a plus.
• Technical accounting, financial reporting and reconciliation expertise.
• Experience with fund administration systems such as Efront, ViewPoint or Value Financials.
• Ability to prepare and review VAT returns.
