Senior IT Auditor – Technology Risk & Data Analytics

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to join its Technology Risk & Data Analytics team. You will work with leading organisations across Africa, the Middle East and global markets, helping them manage technology risks, strengthen governance and enable digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT audit, technology risk and data analytics engagements from planning through completion.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop audit strategies aligned with client objectives and emerging risks.
• Review and evaluate IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Application Controls (ITACs) across complex technology environments.
• Lead client workshops, walkthroughs and stakeholder discussions to assess technology processes and control frameworks.
• Perform advanced data analytics to identify trends, anomalies, risks and business insights.
• Prepare and present findings to client management and executive stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior professionals while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Contribute to business development initiatives for the practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Software Engineering, Data Science, Accounting Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CISSP, CRISC are a strong advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT audit, technology risk, cybersecurity, IT compliance or data analytics.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Application Controls (ITACs).
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and technology governance.
• Experience with advanced data analytics techniques.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and controls.
