Senior Manager – Fund Administration & Compliance

About the role

The Apex Group is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its fund administration and compliance team. You will be responsible for overseeing operational delivery, regulatory compliance, and risk management for closed‑end funds across their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team on all projects, assignments and ad‑hoc duties, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Manage operational aspects of unit deliverables, including resource allocation, timesheet review and capacity planning.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on operational performance and risk mitigation.
• Identify training needs and communicate them to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with Mauritius Companies Act, Financial Services Act 2007, Code of Corporate Governance, Data Protection Act 2017, Securities Act 2005 and other relevant regulations.
• Oversee licensing and regulatory filings with the Financial Services Commission for closed‑end funds.
• Manage the full lifecycle of closed‑end funds – formation, investment, operational phase, and fund closure.
• Perform customer due diligence (CDD) in line with AML requirements and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Attend client meetings as required.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of business and operational risks within the Global Business Sector.
• Proactive risk‑minimisation mindset with the ability to prescribe and escalate mitigation actions.
• Experience leading teams and managing complex regulatory projects.

Required skills

• Regulatory compliance (Mauritius Companies Act, Financial Services Act 2007, Data Protection Act 2017, Securities Act 2005)
• AML/CFT customer due diligence
• Closed‑end fund administration and lifecycle management
• Risk management and mitigation
