Senior Manager, People & Culture – Middle East & Africa

About the role

Propelis is seeking a Senior Manager, People & Culture to lead HR strategy across the Middle East and Africa from our Mauritius hub. This hybrid position blends strategic oversight with hands‑on operational responsibilities, supporting managers and employees throughout the full employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and ensure GDPR compliance.
• Draft, manage and renew employment contracts, including fixed‑term agreements.
• Oversee onboarding, off‑boarding, exit interviews and termination notices.
• Provide guidance on employment law, performance management, disciplinary actions and severance procedures.
• Monitor compliance deadlines such as work permits and disability status renewals.
• Support implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
• Advise leadership on collective agreements, co‑determination and other legal obligations.
• Manage restructuring, organisational change initiatives and draft social plans.
• Deliver training and coaching on labour‑relations matters to HR colleagues and business leaders.

Required profile

• Significant HR experience within a multinational, matrix organisation, preferably with M&A or integration exposure.
• Strong project‑management, organisational and leadership capabilities.
• High discretion and professionalism handling sensitive HR issues.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Business‑level proficiency in English.
