Senior SAP Basis Consultant

About the role

The Senior SAP Basis Consultant will design, install, configure and administer SAP systems across on‑premise and cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability and security. You will lead upgrades, migrations and complex projects while mentoring junior Basis staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration and deployment of SAP solutions.
• Manage Level 2 & 3 incidents, complex changes and critical problems.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, including Kernel, Support Stack, SAP upgrades and S/4HANA conversions.
• Deploy SAP solutions on‑premise and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Maintain high availability, reliability and performance of SAP and HANA systems.
• Administer enterprise databases such as HANA, DB2 and MSSQL.
• Support and optimise SAP Fiori (Gateway) environments.
• Mentor junior Basis consultants and ensure knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in SAP Basis administration and large‑scale deployments.
• Proven track record with system upgrades, S/4HANA conversions and cloud‑based SAP environments.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience leading or mentoring a Basis team is highly desirable.
