Site Supervisor – Construction Projects

About the role

General Construction Company Ltd (GCC) is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead daily operations on a variety of construction projects. You will ensure that work is delivered on schedule, meets quality standards, and complies with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities according to project schedules, drawings, and specifications.
• Plan and allocate manpower, plant, and resources based on project priorities.
• Direct the workforce, subcontractors, and site teams to achieve daily targets.
• Monitor progress against the programme, identify delays or constraints, and report to the Project Manager.
• Oversee civil, building, infrastructure, concrete, masonry, formwork, reinforcement, and finishing works.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with HSE regulations.
• Track usage and availability of materials, tools, plant, and equipment, reporting shortages as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily records of activities, manpower, progress, materials, and safety documentation.
• Communicate with Project Managers, Engineers, Foremen, clients, and subcontractors to resolve site issues.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience as a Site Supervisor in construction or a related field.
• Proven experience in civil works, building, finishes, and infrastructure trades.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and plans.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and at multiple project locations.

Required skills

• NC4 Scaffolding certification (advantageous).
• Interpretation of construction drawings and specifications.
• Concrete, masonry, formwork, reinforcement, scaffolding, and finishing works.
• Basic measurement, quantity estimation, and material requirement calculations.
