Steward Attendant

About the role

The Steward Attendant joins the Stewarding team at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius, ensuring that all food‑and‑beverage outlets have a constant supply of clean dishes, silverware and glassware. The role supports kitchen hygiene, equipment maintenance and overall safety in the heart of the house.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily ware‑washing, cleaning and polishing of dishes, silverware and glassware.
• Maintain the highest level of hygiene, orderliness and safety standards throughout the kitchen and service areas.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place of polished, defect‑free china, silver and glassware for service and production.
• Assist in inventory processes, set‑up and breakdown of buffets, and report breakages.

Required profile

• Minimum of 6 months relevant experience in hotels, resorts or reputable stand‑alone restaurants.
• Technical education in Hospitality Management is preferred.
• Demonstrates strong teamwork, adherence to grooming and hygiene standards, and the ability to work hands‑on during busy periods.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP procedures and strict compliance.
• Proficiency in safe handling of dishwashing and kitchen equipment.
• Understanding of chemical handling, storage and safe usage.
