Stewarding Supervisor

About the role

Constance Belle Mare Plage is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to lead the stewarding team at its resort in Flacq, Mauritius. You will ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment management across all food‑service areas while supporting seamless banquet and restaurant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Control daily stewarding activities and supervise staff grooming, discipline and behaviour.
• Schedule, record and report inventory, requisitions and cleaning actions when the Chief Steward is absent.
• Maintain rational cleaning schedules for food‑handling and storage areas and enforce equipment storage procedures.
• Prepare and clear stations for functions, manage function sheets and coordinate with outlet supervisors.
• Assist in inventory preparation for banquets, track chemical consumption and report issues.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and local health codes.
• Maintain par stocks of chinaware, glassware, silverware and other supplies.
• Liaise with engineering for technical requirements and secure storerooms and equipment.

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education with additional training or certificates relevant to stewarding or hospitality.
• Proven experience supervising stewarding teams in a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to enforce house rules and safety procedures.
