Store Attendant

About the role

The Store Attendant will support the Storekeeper in daily store operations, ensuring that raw materials, finished goods and other items are received, stored and moved safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with receipt, unloading and placement of incoming materials.
• Carry out stock‑in and stock‑out activities as directed.
• Maintain proper storage locations and ensure FIFO rotation where applicable.
• Help move materials between the store and production areas.
• Support loading and unloading of goods while preventing damage.
• Keep the store and surrounding areas clean and free of obstructions.
• Participate in stock counting, physical inventory checks and reconciliation.
• Report damaged, missing or misplaced stock to the Storekeeper.
• Follow all health, safety and housekeeping procedures, using PPE as required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Storekeeper or management.

Required profile

• Minimum School Certificate; qualification in logistics, warehousing or related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a store, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of store and stock handling activities.
• Good organisational skills, reliability and discipline.
• Physically fit for manual handling tasks.
• Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.

• Basic computer literacy.
