Strategic Financial Analyst

About the role

The Strategic Financial Analyst will support the business in financial analysis, forecasting, liability management, and strategic decision‑making. You will develop financial models, provide analytical insights, and help optimise the balance sheet within a financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Conduct scenario, sensitivity, and stress testing; analyse profitability, funding costs and performance trends.
• Support business case preparation and investment evaluations.
• Monitor funding structures, cost of funds and assist with liquidity and cash‑flow analysis.
• Participate in balance‑sheet and asset‑liability analysis, evaluating funding and refinancing opportunities.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards and management presentations for strategic projects.
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Operations and Business teams.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, contribute to automation and documentation of modelling assumptions.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
• ACCA or CFA Level 2 (or equivalent) is a plus.
• 4–5 years of experience in financial analysis, modelling, treasury or strategic finance.
• Experience in financial services, banking, leasing or lending is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial‑modelling capabilities.
• Knowledge of Power BI, SQL or other financial‑analytics tools (advantage).
